What points should be noted when choosing a high-current POGO PIN?
POGO PIN connectors, as a type of precision connector, are widely used in products with relatively high current requirements, such as shared power banks, electronic cigarettes, medical equipment, and other products with relatively high current requirements. Especially in terms of technical parameters such as water resistance, dust resistance, and corrosion resistance, the requirements are relatively high. So, what points should be noted when choosing a high-current POGO PIN?
Now, Dongguan Zhenghe will introduce this issue to everyone as follows:
1. Electroplating thickness: The electroplating thickness is not only related to cost, but mainly to corrosion resistance, water resistance and dust resistance. Besides the thickness of the coating, the electroplating process also matters. Different structures and processes require different requirements.
2. Current size: Select the appropriate specification based on the actual application requirements of the product. The cost of a smaller current is relatively lower, but it is only suitable for applications below 2A. High-current POGO pins can meet the application requirements of 2-20A, but their cost is relatively higher.
3. Elasticity magnitude: The magnitude of elasticity is mainly reflected in the stability of contact. However, the POGO PIN connector adopts point-surface contact and an inclined unbalanced structure design, which performs well in terms of shock resistance and contact stability. This is mainly reflected in some sports devices, such as TWS Bluetooth headphones, etc.
High-current pogopin generally adopts a sloped surface structure. For those with higher requirements, a sloped surface + ball bearing structure is used. This structure can prevent the internal spring from burning out due to excessive instantaneous current, thus effectively providing protection. While for low-current ones, a reverse drilling structure is usually adopted.
